Kat Nzingha (it/its) is a transmutational entity.

It conjures trans-human beings, spiritual entities, and ancestral apparitions of black culture in the past, present, and future. Through sound, visual languages, and multidisciplinary experimental practices, Kat Nzingha’s work transforms spaces by capturing physical and overlapping realities that continually construct themselves, allowing them to remain porous to worlds that remain unrevealed.

Digital and analog technologies are its instruments for developing these multidimensional crossings.

Industrial material, performance, and sound offer Kat Nzingha a body through which it can appear, mutate, communicate, and disappear. These spiritual entities inhabit dimensions beyond the immediately perceptible, provoking encounters with spiritual worlds that exist between, beneath, and beyond our own existence.
